Mozilla Released Thunderbird 3

The long waited open source email client Thunderbird 3 is now released! Upgrading from Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 3 is very easy and almost automatically.

Once you finished installing version 3, you’ll see Migration Assistant page with explanation of 3 new features worth knowing about. In my testing as I’m using IMAP, Thunderbird show its IMAP synchronize option and offer an alternative to not synchronize to save disk space and data traffic costs.

Paint.Net Free Image and Photo Editing

Average computer user mostly do simple image or photo retouching such as cropping, rotate, resize, adding text, giving simple effects, etc. in this case Adobe Photoshop would be overkill and way too expensive to buy. A free software that I found is Paint.Net, which is surprisingly powerful for everyday image editing.

When you install Picasa, it will do searching on your computer for images and photos then list and categorize it based on the folder name where your photos or images are stored.
