HTC Will Unlock Their Android Devices Bootloader

HTC CEO, Peter Chou, give an announcement that the bootloader for future HTC Android devices will be unlocked as many customer gives feedback requesting it. The announcement was posted on HTC Facebook fan page on Friday May 27, 2011.

“There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we’ve listened. Today, I’m confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience,” Peter Chou, CEO of HTC

Mozilla Released Thunderbird 3

The long waited open source email client Thunderbird 3 is now released! Upgrading from Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 3 is very easy and almost automatically.

Once you finished installing version 3, you’ll see Migration Assistant page with explanation of 3 new features worth knowing about. In my testing as I’m using IMAP, Thunderbird show its IMAP synchronize option and offer an alternative to not synchronize to save disk space and data traffic costs.

Nokia seems doesn’t want to miss a bite on recently booming Netbook market share. Although they didn’t call their product as a Netbook but its technical specification is fit as a Netbook.
