Microsoft Zune HD Available for Pre-Order

The new multimedia portable player from Microsoft: Zune HD is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com and Microsoft Store website.

The new Zune HD comes in two flavors: 16GB storage and 32GB storage. The 16GB version can holds up to 5 hours of high definition video, or 22 hours of standard definition video optimized for device, or 4,000 songs, or 25,000 pictures, while the 32GB version can holds up to 10 hours of high definition video, or 48 hours of standard definition video optimized for device, or 8,000 songs, or 25,000 pictures.

Damaged APCN2 Undersea Cable Slow Downs Internet in Asia

The undersea APCN2 cable owned by consortium of 26 telecom operators from 14 countries had damaged on Wednesday 12 August 2009 and causing internet connection slowdowns in Asian countries especially Singapore.

SingTel, one of the consortium member said that the damaged caused by Typhoon Morakot which swept nearby Taiwan. The consortium has started repairing work and expects to be finished on 13 August 2009 evening.

The APCN2 also had damaged before back in 2006 when a big earthquake hit Taiwan which causing internet disconnection for several countries in Asia.
